Elburton Villa - 14 SAS Soccer - 5
Elburton attacked from the first whistle, with Nicholas Carter scoring four goals within 15 minutes. Elburton's lead was increased by Merveille Ramazani, then another from N.Carter. By half time it was 8-1. After the break, Lewis Trotman and N.Carter scored, before SAS hit two more. Ben Kingston ran the length of the pitch to score a wonder goal, before Jack Porter head a great goal. M. Ramazani scored another and an own goal made the final score 14-5 to Elburton.

Vs Broadmeadow ST Youth - Tesco Devon Cup
2nd Round - Sun 16 Nov 08
Broadmeadow ST - 4 Elburton Villa - 5
Elburton arrived for this rearranged Cup match with four players missing and another recovering from illness. A few players were playing out of position, but to be fair, you wouldn't have noticed. They attacked from the off, and Lewis Hurrell tapped in the first from a rebounded Jack Porter shot. The second goal was another tap in from L Hurrell to make it 2-0. Broadmeadow attacked in strength and were lucky not to score a number of times in the first half. A great passing spell, with Merveille Ramazani using his strength to glide into the box and shoot made the third goal. L Hurrell made it four, scoring his hat-trick just before half-time. Broadmeadow attacked from the whistle, scoring a great goal to make it 1-4. Villa came straight back with a great dribble by L Trotman to score their fifth. From then on, Broadmeadow piled on the pressure, winning a penalty but after a retake, Josh Welch saved it. With 10 minutes to go, Broadmeadow scored three great goals to make the last few minutes nerve racking! Final whistle was 5-4 to Elburton Villa.

Vs Ivybridge Town - Hermes Division

Elburton Villa - 7 Ivybridge Town - 6
A game of ping pong between the two main strikers. Elburton scoring first through a sublime effort by N Carter, and then Ivybridge equalising through Billy Rowell. Elburton then went ahead again (N Carter), and BIvybridge got their second (B Rowell). R Wills then got into the action by hitting a 15 metre shot from his wing to put Elburton in the lead. Elburton then put the pressure on with a hatrick from N Carter to increase their lead to 4-2. Ivybridge came back strongly with two goals in succession from B Rowell and Griffiths. N Carter put Elburton in front again with a great goal, before B Rowell equalised. R Wills then scrambled a goal in from a corner for Elburton before B Rowell again got an equaliser for Ivybridge. 6-6 with minutes to go saw N Carter through on the goali to make it 7-6 Elburton. A good game to watch - If you were not the Managers!

Vs Tamerside Kings - Hermes Division
League Match - Sat 18 Oct 08
Elburton Villa - 2 Tamerside Kings - 2

Tamerside had the better of the first half with a great strike from Robinson to put them in the lead. Elburton attacked and came close on several occassions. The second half saw Elburton come to life, putting continuos pressure on the opposition before a well taken goal from Nick Carter brought the equaliser. Tamerside came straight back from the kick-off with Davis hitting a great goal. This spurred Elburton on, with some great team work setting up Nick Carter for his second. Tamerside weathered the pressure and earned a well deserved point at the final whistle.

Vs Morley Rangers - Hermes Division
League Match - Sat 22 Nov 08
Morley Rangers - 1 Elburton Villa - 6
Both sides started well, but it was Elburton that scored first with a fine goal from Nicholas Carter. This inspired Elburton to keep coming forward, being rewarded with a second from N Carter. Morley finished the half with some good football, leading to M South scoring a cracker from outside the box. Morley, having been forced into a couple of changes in the second half, struggled to break out of their own half. Elburton attacked relentlessly, with N Carter being rewarded with a hat-trick. He then made it 4-1 before Lewis Hurrell banged in a rebounded shot to make it 5-1. Jack Porter scored a beckham style free kick, only to see it disallowed for an infringement. N Carter hit his fifth and Elburton's sixth just before the final whistle.
